The History of St. Bonaventure University

Published in 1961 by Franciscan Institute Publications, this 264-page book grew out of a doctoral dissertation by Mark Angelo, OFM. This book tells in detail the story of the founding of St. Bonaventure and, within that story, also tells the story of Franciscans coming to western New York, Catholic education in America, the development of Cattaraugus County and the founding and growth of the towns of Allegany and Olean, New York.
