Majoon Banana and Date Smoothie
Banana and dates in a smoothie? They may not seem like the typical combination, however it works. It works genuine well. I originally attempted this majoon banana and date smoothie at a nearby health store and fell in love. I am Persian and us Persian love our dates and nuts. It is installed in our DNA. So when I discovered that this smoothie is really a Persian drink, I wasn't all that surprised. I definitely knew from the main taste that that was the ideal blend for me. Shocked that I have never attempted this, indeed, however not surprised at its history. INGREDIENTS:1/2 cup walnuts1/4 cup pistachios5 Medjool dates, pitted1 and 1/2 cups almond milk1/4 teaspoon cinnamon1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1 ripe banana1 cup iceINSTRUCTIONS:Grind the walnuts and pistachios in the blender.Add the dates and blend together until creamy.Add the almond milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract and blend until smooth.Add the banana and ice and blend.
