T.M. Longport, “Abbey Ruins” Ironstone, Transferware, Bowl. C. 1836-1838.

This bowl is exceptional because if it’s color and age alone. Thomas Mayer continued on for many years to produce earthenware but only made it under this hallmark, in Longport, for 2 years! This is a remarkable piece to add to a collection.  11” round and 2.5” deep  See videos for some hairline cracks and there is some staining and flea bites as well. All can be seen in pics . I think it has aged beautifully and I’m sure you will as well. 💜
