Smith and Nephew SKIN-PREP Protective Wipes are used to apply a protective film over skin that helps to prepare it for adhesives. This film reduces friction, guarding sensitive skin against tape stripping while simultaneously improving tape, film and appliance adhesion. Quick and easy to apply, the film requires just one coat. The soft medical wipes make it easy to apply quickly, even over awkward areas such as the elbows and heels. Wipes are just as easily removed using a skin cleanser or soap and water. The barrier film can also be used to reduce skin’s exposure to bodily fluids around drainage tubes, external catheters and surrounding ostomy sites.
