Makrut (Kaffir) Lime Potted Tree

The Makrut lime is not your average lime - it is one of the most sour fruits! The fruit is seldom used and when it is, it must be used at low quantities (just a few drops). Because of its intense sour flavor, this rooted lime tree is used most for its fragrant leaves, mostly in Thai cooking. The leaves are so flavorful and aromatic that only a few are needed to make a family-sized dish. *Note: Frank's Fruit Trees has made the decision to change the name of this tree to the "Makrut Lime" due to the negative and racist connotations of the name "Kaffir Lime." The Makrut Lime is the same thing - just a new name! Many growers, including in Southeast Asia where this tree originates, are now adopting the name "Makrut."
