SRAM Brake Levers

Get your hands on our UCI World Cup Downhill winning levers! Building on a tried and true braking system is tough. SRAM has worked towards perfection for over a decade to make their family of brakes among the best in the world. As good as the SRAM braking system is, the stock lever had room for improvement.  Our engineering team has spent thousands of hours riding, testing, and analyzing the SRAM braking system to see what we could do to improve it. The stock levers are stamped or cast (depending on the model) which was not giving us the stiffness we desire. There are other inherent traits to using levers made from these methods, such as needing more tolerance between the lever blade and body. The stock levers also must be made to work for everybody, from the first time novice to the 7 days a week rider. With the needs of the serious rider in mind, our goals of increased stiffness, decreased slop, and better ergonomics for single finger braking drove the need for a custom lever. We sta
