Gold Medal - USA Wine Ratings, 2022 (93 points)!! A beautiful garnet color. Rich apple aromas that quickly give way to flavors of dried fruit, almond, dried fig, honey, and cherry on the palate.  Spicy hints of orange zest, and cumin with salted caramel. Medium bodied, classy and bright. A lingering subtle oak finish.    A unique and delicious aperitif wine made by mixing 2/3 fresh barely fermented apple juice and 1/3 one-year-old Calvados (a cognac-style spirit made from apples) then aging it for three to four years in old oak barrels at the Manoir La Brière des Fontaines estate in Normandy, France.  Silver Medal – Regional Competition Cambremer 2017 Gold Medal – General Agricultural Competition Paris 2015 Bronze Medal – General Agricultural Competition Paris 2013 Silver Medal - Regional Competition Cambremer 2012 Gold Medal - General Agricultural Competition Paris 2010 Silver Medal - Regional Competition Vimoutiers 2008 Can be enjoyed neat or over ice as an aperitif.
