Stowe Bag sewing pattern

Modeled after our very first project bag (RIP 2013) and produced in collaboration with Grainline Studio — one of the most respected indie pattern makers around — this pattern includes two sizes for two incredibly versatile bags. When empty, the Stowe folds away flat. Filled, it sits squarely on its flat gusseted bottom. The main compartment will handle your current knitting project(s), while the many inside pockets keep your tools organized. But it's also handy for travel, kids stuff, or as an everyday tote. Techniques involved include sewing a straight seam and applying bias binding. For additional photos and details, see the blog. SUGGESTED FABRICS Medium-weight woven fabrics such as denim, linen, twill and canvas. Fabrics over 9oz are not recommended for this pattern because of potential sewing machine difficulty.
