The yellow morph of phylobates terribilis are found in Quebrada Guangui, Colombia. Terribilis are infamous for being the most poisonous animal on the planet, and are the species used to create poison darts. The adults are brightly colored, while juvenile frogs have mostly black bodies with two golden-yellow stripes along their backs. They fully color up by 5-6m of age. They are prolific breeders with large clutch sizes, but reach sexual maturity a bit later than most dart frogs at around 18m. Ensure a thick layer of dry leaf litter with these frogs as they are prone to foot sores if kept continually on wet soil.
