Karen Carpenter - The Carpenters #2 October 15th, 1976 Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, Logan, Utah 35mm Film Archival Pigment Print on Paper  Small or Large available below BEHIND THE SHOT   During their show, Karen came out wearing this 'Led Sister' T-shirt and did a drum solo with only a snare and a bass drum..  I know there was a lot of talk about some poll where Karen had been voted the 'best' drummer, beating out John Bonham of Lead Zeppelin.  I guess this T-shirt may be because of that?  She was absolutely incredible on the drums!! Steve Martin opened for The Carpenters that night. Their show kind of came off like a TV variety show from that era. Karen's voice was UNBELIEVABLE live!
