This print of 'the hollow' (2021, white ink on black clapboard) is part of Mary Ann Peters' haunting, exquisite series this trembling turf on display at the museum through January 5th, 2025.  Peters’ recent work engages with accounts of displacement including diasporic histories of the Middle East. this trembling turf was conceived after a residency in Beirut in which the artist unearthed references to an alleged mass grave beneath a golf course.
