Original Unfolded French Advertising Poster Ca. 1900's. Biscotines Union (literally translates to "Union Biscuits") was a French biscuit company which began production in 1892 as a bakery. This well known French advertising poster features Leonetto Cappiello art of a baker taking a bite of a biscuit. Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942) designed many great posters during his long career, and his posters are highly sought after by collectors. Artist: Leonetto Cappiello Size: 39 1/4" x 55" Condition: Good to Very Good.  The poster was never folded. There is a series of creases and light scuffs running down the poster approximately 10" - 14" from the right edge and there are a few tears in that area at lower right (see our image). It has a few light scuffs mainly in the black background area. There are two tiny circular areas of paper loss in the right and left blank borders.
