The pressure sensor provides the ECU with an intake manifold vacuum-dependent electrical signal to indicate load; this signal heavily influences fuel metering. The analog electrical signal in the sensor varies as the intake manifold vacuum changes the compression of the two connected pressure capsules (aneroids).
