California CCW Fingerprint Capture Bundle
The California Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) fingerprint capture bundle is designed to comply with CA DOJ 4402 to allow issuing agencies the ability to capture the fingerprints required for issuance of a CCW license. This easy-to-setup bundle offers a quality FBI-certified fingerprint scanner (Futronic FS88H) and a software application (FbF® bioCollect) that captures and saves clear fingerprint images. Those images can be exported as needed for placement on the CCW license. California DOJ Directive: Capturing Thumbprint for Uniform CCW License. (a) The licensing authority shall capture an original right thumbprint for every initial or renewal CCW license. If the right thumbprint is unavailable, the acceptable print order is left thumbprint followed by any available digit of the right hand, regardless of whether the digit is scarred or deformed. The licensee’s thumbprint or fingerprint image shall be true to size. (b) If a Personal Identity Verification single finger capture device is used, the device must be certified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as tested and in compliance with the FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) Image Quality Specifications (IQS) This Fulcrum Biometrics Bundle is designed to make all CCW Issuing agencies fully compliant with the mandatory requirements of the CA DOJ Directive for capturing and reporting digital (electronic) fingerprints.
