Finger vein recognition is a highly secure biometric identification technology. The Futronic VS80 finger vein scanner is designed to capture the best finger vein images for this application. An infrared light source is used in the VS80 which works together with a high quality CMOS image sensor to provide a clear and high contrast finger vein image for matching. It is carefully designed to remove the unwanted background image which may decrease the matching accuracy. Finger vein matching software is also available from Futronic as a separate product.
