This gourmet mushroom is said to resemble a chicken's feather giving its other name 'Hen of the Woods'. When prepared it can even have a similar flavor and texture to chicken. These mushrooms are extremely high in Vitamin D. It is also said to enhance your immune system.NOTE: If you have naturally low blood pressure or on medications to lower your blood pressure do not eat maitake. It can lower blood pressure and increase your medications effects. Priced per 1/4 lb. NO SHIPPING OF FRESH MUSHROOM: Currently we are not able to ship our fresh mushrooms. Please select a pick-up location at our farm or local delivery within 15 minutes of our farm on Wednesdays.
