It's drop point blade and curved handle works well for skinning and processing game and fish. Reminiscent of a muzzleloaders patch knife. It is large enough for bushcraft chores and other related uses that do not require a bigger knife.The blade is 4  9/16" long x 1 1/8" deep x just over 1/8" thick. The gunstock tiger maple handle has brass pins and includes a brass lanyard hole. The handle is approximately 4 5/8" long with an overall length of 9 1/8" I HAND FORGE THESE AS ALWAYS IN MY VERMONT BLACKSMITH SHOP. MADE FROM HIGH CARBON 5160 STEEL. THIS STEEL IS INCREDIBLY TOUGH AND TAKES AND HOLDS AN OUTSTANDING EDGE.   THE BLADE IS ACID ETCHED TO HELP PREVENT RUSTING AND CORROSION.
