Having a larger blade and overall length along with a deep aged dark finish.   ANOTHER KNIFE IN MY "EXPEDITION SERIES" WHICH ARE INTENDED AND DESIGNED FOR EXTREME SURVIVAL AND DEFENSE SITUATIONS.   Meant to be the best all around outdoors knife that one would take into the wilderness and rely on completely for all needed tasks.    Heavy enough to chop and baton firewood and build shelters yet still having a blade shape to use for skinning and processing large game.    The small area just behind the cutting part of the blade that is not sharpened is intended for a higher grip on the handle for detailed controlled cutting.   The classic upswept blade is 7 1/2" long x 1 3/4" deep x  just under 1/4" thick.
