Old Pattern Woodsman Field Knife

It is based on traditional style knives that were popular during the old West frontier and mountain men time in American history. It works perfectly now for camp use and general bushcrafting. Along with what they were originally intended for, processing meat and game in the field or now in the kitchen. The knife is approximately 10" long overall. Handle is 4 3/4" and the blade is about 5 1/2" long and 1 3/8" at its widest point. The blade is 3/16" thick full tang.  Made from 5160 high carbon steel that will hold an edge and is known for its toughness and durability. The sheath is made from 8 oz leather that is hand stitched with a full welt, waterproofed, signed and dated.  I make all of my knives and sheaths right here in my Vermont blacksmith and woodworking shop since 1990.  Each blade is forged from a single piece of high carbon steel.
