Hoya engleriana is a small leaved Hoya originating from mountainous ranges shrouded in fog so this species requires cooler temps and high humidity. Small white flowers with pink coronas are very similar to those of Hoya Bella. Named in honor of Dr. Adolf Engler,  professor at the University of Berlin and director of the botanical gardens who founded and edited the periodical Botanische Jahrbücher (“Botanical Yearbooks”)  He wrote several works on plant geography and taxonomy, and collaborated with Karl Prantl on the early volumes of The Engler and Prantl system of flowering plant classification which was the principal one in use until the 1970s. Hoyas are mostly epiphytic creeping, twining or vining plants that have a vast array of different leaf shapes, sizes, textures & colors!
