This pair of glass salt and pepper shakers were designed for Pharmacy, a restaurant in Notting Hill, London. The restaurant opened in 1997 as a collaboration between Damien Hirst; public relations specialist Matthew Freud; Liam Carson of the Groucho Club and Momo’s; and Jonathan Kennedy, a founder of Quo Vadis. The interior was designed in its entirety by Hirst and included a number of his major artworks, such as Molecular Structure (1997–98). Pharmacy was awarded the prize for best-designed restaurant at the Carlton London Restaurant Awards in 1998.
