How it darkens depends on what you expose it to, the environment in which it lives, the amount of light, whether it's exposed to water, dirt, or the oils on your skin. All of which will affect your leather in a very different way. The bottom line is the more you use and handle it, the darker it will become. No two vegetable tanned pieces are alike, and no pieces will ever age the exact same way. Making yours perfectly imperfect, one-of-a-kind, and individual: just like you.
