About the Artist – Karen Neely Karen Neely is a Northern California artist born in Monterey. She has been painting since her youth, studying privately under her mother (a professional artist) as well as other renowned artists through her parents’ many galleries and art shows. She later continued her studies at Chico State, San Francisco State, and the Art Academy in San Francisco. Her first award came at the age of 16, when she received the Bank of America–sponsored Junior Achievement Award, which helped fund her formal art education. Today, Karen’s work is featured in several fine art galleries throughout California.
