Garden of Eden Citronella Essential Oil

All of our essential oils are 100% pure, therapeutic grade and are never altered or diluted.  Citronella (Cymbopogon Nardus) is widely known for its use as an insect repellent, but it’s so much more than that.  Citronella is a natural antiseptic and has anti-bacterial properties, while it’s non-toxic and non-irritating to the skin.   Citronella can be added to a carrier lotion and applied to the skin or mix it into a light weight carrier oil such as sesame oil and spray it on the skin to deter insects.  You’ll need to re-apply periodically as natural sweating and exposure to water will decrease its efficacy.  Combine Citronella with Cedarwood* for an effective mosquito deterrent with a pleasing aroma.   Diffuse the oils together for patios and outdoor spaces.  If you’re feeling “crafty”, you can make your own Citronella candles with a craft store candle kit.  **Avoid cedarwood if you are or may be pregnant.   Citronella has historically been used to assist the immune system, colds, flu
