Garden of Eden Peppermint Essential Oil

The ancient Greeks and Romans crowned themselves with Peppermint garlands.  Peppermint Essential Oil (Mentha peperita) is ‘cephalic”, it stimulates the brain and aids in clear thinking.  It clears the head, leaving the user feeling fresh, bright and ready for mental effort.  Peppermint is historically renowned as a natural comfort for headaches and stomachaches when used externally.  It's been used historically in foot and stomach rubs and is steam distilled from the herb leaves.   Peppermint is disagreeable to insects and can be worn in a carrier oil as an insect deterrent.  Mosquitos, fleas, ants and small rodents find the smell of mint quite distasteful.  Five drops of Peppermint combined with 5oz of water(in a spray bottle) makes a great tomato plant or garden spray to deter fungi, critters and unwanted insects.  Peppermint is refreshing and helps to cool the body in warmer temperatures.  J
