Viburnum opulus var. calvescens (cranberry bush viburnum, European cranberry) is a large, deciduous shrub that produces white flowers in the late spring/early summer on a lacecap inflorescence.  After flowering red berries are produced.  Viburnum opulus var. calvescens is much less common than the typical snowball types and will become a large shrub and performs well around Raleigh, NC. HARDINESS:  zones (2?)-7(8?) EXPOSURE:  part shade or sun SIZE: 10-12' SHIPPING SIZE:  1/2 gallon pot, 10-12" plant.
