Gazania Seeds - Gazania Rigens New Day Mix
Gazania Rigens New Day (syn. G. splendens), commonly known as treasure flower, is a rapidly growing ground cover featuring vibrant daisy-like blooms. Gazanias have water-retaining leaves and a deep root system that enables it to thrive in dry and arid environments. While Gazanias are usually grown as an annual, it can be grown as a perennial in warmer areas of the country. Gazanias grow best in light, sandy soil that drains well. They tolerate drought, but bloom better in slightly moist soil and in full sun. The flowers close at night and during cloudy weather. Most Gazanias have a clumping habit, but some varieties have a trailing habit, making them ideal for containers or sloped surfaces. PLANT INFORMATION: Genus: GazaniaSpecies: Gazania Rigens (syn.
