This listing is for a package of 100 La France Chabaud Carnation seeds. AKA Dianthus Caryophllus. Heirloom perennial (zones 6-8) or grown as a premium cut annual flower in regions where they are not perennial. Intoxicating clove like scent. These lovely 1"-1 1/2" pink frilly flowers are excellent in the cutting garden, or in containers, borders or mass plantings. Edible flower petals can be used for garnishing salads, desserts, etc. Growing seed indoors up to 10 weeks before your regions last frost date. Lightly press seed into growing medium. Harden off before transplanting outdoors. Established plants like cool weather and perform well when temperatures do not exceed 65°.
