This listing is for a package of 35 Yellow stock seeds. Aka Stock Matthiola incana. Annual. Full sun. This Katz variety is developed for exceptionally long stems. These plants are annual, and single stem. (pinching will terminate blooming) Gorgeous, buttery light yellow color! Excellent cut flower for floral designs. Large percentage of double blooms are 1 1/2"-2". The smell of stock is intoxicating! The petals are also edible and can be used as garnish or in salads, etc. A slight peppery and clove like flavor. It is recommended to start seed in cell packs indoors up to 6 weeks before your regions average last frost date. Harden off plants for several days up to 2 weeks before transplanting to field or garden beds to limit shock. Plant seed @ 1/4" depth. Or seed can be direct sown once average last frost date has passed. Germination requires soil temperatures of 65°. Stock is a cool weather crop and so spring and fall blooming is ideal.
