The Hopi "Starman" is a prominent figure depicted by Hopi artist Fred Kabotie in the murals he created for the Grand Canyon's Desert View Watchtower in 1932-33. Kabotie was commissioned by architect Mary Colter to paint scenes that reflected the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Hopi people in this iconic structure.
