Catalog for exhibit organized by Friends of Photography, Carmel, California, Feb. 19-Apr. 11, 1982 and California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco, Apr. 16-Aug. 1, 1982. Exhibition included previously undistributed photographs from 1917 through 1982. The softcover catalog includes 8 B&W prints, an essay by James Alinder, and Adam's extensively re-written essay "A Personal Credo," published in the 1944 American Annual of Photography. Laid in is a form letter from Ansel Adams with a facsimile signature in blue ink, encouraging membership in the Wilderness Society. Like new.
