Rubbed Sage

This hearty perennial herb is native to the Mediterranean (common sage) and is part of the Mint family. Its leaves are very aromatic and have a pronounced earthy flavor. Because of the versatility of this herb, it is commonly paired with recipes ranging from stuffings to sausages, soups to pasta dishes, brown butter sauces, and even as a unique flavor pairing with candied nuts. As opposed to ground, Rubbed Sage has a light, fluffy texture and its flavor is less concentrated than ground.
