Herb Walk: Sonoma Valley Regional Park • May 10th • 11-2pm
We are blessed to live in one of the most biologically rich areas in the world, from wetlands and estuaries to coastal scrub and chaparral to grasslands and redwood forests. Each ecosystem fosters a diversity of edible and medicinal plants that have been used as food and medicine for time immemorial. Learn to identify our abundance of California native plants and wild weeds and explore their traditional and current medicinal uses. These walks are at an easy pace and suitable for all ages. Bring a notepad and pen, snacks and water and appropriate outdoor attire. Learn to see the world around you with a new understanding and a deeper connection to the natural world. We will be walking around Lake Suttonfield next to Sonoma Valley Regional Park. Meet at the Arnold Drive entrance of Sonoma Valley Regional Park. Parking is available on the street. It’s a favorite entrance to the park for locals. It is a dirt trail, gentle ups and downs. Can be muddy if it has rained recently. Directions:Ple
