Pansy in the Spring

Artist Sandy Drexel brings the essence of spring to life with her unique glass designs. She begins by applying glass powders to garden pansies, which are then fired onto a blue background. This artistic process is complemented by a distinctive frame made from hundreds of fired glass strings, meticulously cut and assembled. The result is a charming 9" x 9" nested plate with slightly raised sides, allowing it to hold a small amount of liquid.
