Carved Red Jade Gourd Pendant

Another delightful antique Jade Carving. A lovely mottled creamy-white and terracotta red jade is carved with a design of a Gourd and leaves. The Gourd represents good fortune and protection. The symbolism of this pendant is based on the word Gourd being a Homophone with the words for protection and good fortune.  The bail and ring are 14k yellow gold. Circa 1920.
