Wild Egyptian Scarab & Sterling Statement Ring

A wild Egyptian statement ring bearing an ancient faience scarab. The ivory-colored scarab is set upside down in a sterling silver bezel, displaying the hieroglyphs on its reverse. The bezel sits between sterling arms raised high over a wire-wrapped band. One arm is engraved with hieroglyphs in a cartouche. The other arm is engraved with a maker's mark that appears to read "Da Gatt." Egyptian hallmarks are engraved inside the ring. Truly an unusual piece. Circa 1970. Details: The ring is a size 7.25. It cannot be sized. The top of the ring measures 23mm by 14mm with a 15.4mm profile, and the band is 4.7mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition.
