Wire-Wrapped Turquoise & 9k Safety Pin Brooch

A 9k gold safety pin is embellished with wire-wrapped turquoise. One oblong chunk of turquoise is wrapped with multiple strands of curving wire and attached to the pin. A second piece of turquoise, also wire-wrapped, is suspended from a short segment of chain. This brooch has a naive charm that recalls the aesthetic of the Arts & Crafts movement. Use this pin as a decorative brooch, a sweater clip, or a clothing closure of any kind. Circa 1890. Details: The safety pin measures 1.14" wide and 1.33" long with the dangle.
