Wishes and Woes

This effect is based on a summary of the short story by W. W.Jacobs entitled “The Monkey’s Paw.” The summary can befound on the internet at sparknotes.com. While this effectfollows the original story to a point, the conclusion issubstantially different and provides the opportunity for a littlemagic and some serious reflection by audience members.A family receives the opportunity to have three wishesgranted. The first two are granted, but not in any way to thesatisfaction of the family. A third wish remains…perhaps foryou?
