Amlikar Embroidered Pashminas

Pashmina epitomizes fine craftsmanship, turning the delicate fibers of Cashmere into luxurious accessories. Sourced from the rare Changthangi Goat, found 15,000 feet above sea level in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Pashmina carries a unique allure. To embroider shawls, a design is traced with perforated lines and imprinted onto the fabric using a contrasting powder. Once the outline is visible, the embroiderer begins work. Today, wooden blocks with carved designs are also used for tracing.
