Tephrocactus aorocanthus ssp. paediophilus

This cactus is so cool and unique! It looks like it was brought here from an alien planet!  Beware though, this cactus hides glochids within those uniquely long and spindly spines, so be sure to wear gloves when handling. Plant in a well-draining soil. Adding perlite to a common potting or cactus soil is often helpful with water retention issues. Be sure to plant this cactus in an area that receives lots of sunlight and only water when soil is fully dry. In colder climates, you may be able to water sparingly or withhold altogether during the winter. You will receive the plant shown in photos.
