The Indian Rhino, scientifically known as Rhinoceros unicornis, is a majestic creature native to the Indian subcontinent. Recognized by its single black horn and grey-brown hide with skin folds, it is the second-largest rhino species, with males weighing up to 2.2 tons. These animals are primarily solitary, except during mating season and when mothers are raising their calves. Their diet consists mainly of grass, leaves, and aquatic plants. Despite conservation efforts, the Indian Rhino remains vulnerable due to habitat loss and poaching, with an estimated population of around 3,588 individuals.
