Seahorse

Seahorses are found in oceans globally, recognizable by their horse-like heads and curled tails, often brightly colored or patterned. Uniquely, they swim upright with their dorsal and pectoral fins and are one of the few species where males carry and give birth to the offspring. Carnivorous, they feed on tiny crustaceans and plankton and are popular among aquarium enthusiasts. Sadly, though, various species are threatened due to habitat destruction and overfishing, causing conservation initiatives to be implemented and sustainable fishing practices to be encouraged to protect these enchanting, delicate creatures. Truly, seahorses are celebrated worldwide, captivating imaginations.
