In response to a number of requests for single specimens rather than for units of 5 all the same, we offer the buyer the option of selecting any 5 different rocks or minerals from the student specimens in our catalog that are offered at $4.20 for a unit of five. We hope this meets the needs of home schooling parents or students wanting a set of all different specimens instead of five specimens of the same type. Each specimen is labeled and comes with an individual data card giving collecting locality and information about that type of rock or mineral. Decent specimens of some minerals are not easily found in the USA due to the constrictions on mining. We have to purchase these, generally from Brazil, Mexico, Peru, China or Morocco. That makes them expensive.
