This project was a long time coming. The BA Basket Case imperial dark lager was brewed on 2/6/24, the BA 18# imperial porter way back on 12/17/23. Small portions of each were diverted from the main stream and blended in a Peach Street whiskey cask from Palisade, CO on 3/2/24. The result is a 12.8% embrace of warm whiskey and roasty dark malts. Flavors range the gamut, from fresh biscuit to marzipan to espresso to cacao nibs and beyond. So much to love, so long to wait.
