Signet Ring

I found that, from a young age, I gravitate towards things aesthetically “ruined.” They tell a story. Maybe that’s why I studied history, I need to know what came before. The same way the wrinkles on our faces tell stories of laughter, sadness, stress, survival, I like my jewelry to look weathered and lived in. This signet ring is the first piece of jewelry I carved out of a wax block. Most signet rings held a personal seal for stamping correspondence or to show one’s rank. Mine just relays one thing: resilience. Sterling silver.  Made to order.
