Description: A hanging hand carved wood and polychrome painted American Folk Art figure. The carving shows a red colored bird with pink wings and wire legs perched on a branch emanating from the trunk of a tree. The piece has a loop on top to be hung from on a wall as a decorative accent. The bird is red with white eyes and a yellow beak. Its wings are pink and its tail is decorated with black and yellow lines. It is standing on a small branch with wore legs which are wrapped around it. The carving shows minimum details with mainly the general shape of the bird and the wings being outlined. A very well made piece of folk art that is a nicely done piece of American Folk Art to add to your Americana Collection.
