Antique Wrought Iron and Brass Copper Rivets Rat Tail Taster Southeastern Pennsylvania

Description:  A beautiful antique handmade taster. The taster has a wrought iron handle with a rat tail pattern at the end. Both the bottom and top portions of the handle are flat while the middle portion is round. The piece has a thin hooked hanger sometime referred to as "Rat Tail" hanger. It also has a beautiful brass bowl, which is attached to the handle with two copper rivets. The bowl is also hammered and is plain with no decoration. This is a great looking antique which would make a great addition to any collection. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Early to mid 1800's.
