It's very likely that your mother even had one rattling around in her purse. So when we began to design our take on the slipjoint, we incorporated our collective feelings of responsibility to prior generations of slipjoint users to get it right - to produce a simple, yet beautiful non-locking folder that would be sure to please. Lines are important. Especially to Danish designers. So the "lines" or shape of the Farley were designed to evoke an appreciation for finer things and pride of ownership as it catches your attention while sitting on your desk. Function is important.
