MEET THE ARTIST: As an abstract expressionist at heart, Donna Bernstein’s art allows her to move and create in a variety of ways. Similar to her abstract art, her equestrian works express a deep connection to the horses' energy, beauty and form. She paints organically and allows the medium to co-create with her. She often paints canvases on the floor from above with archival sprays and dripped or thrown inks. Her methods evoke a free spirit; she doesn’t always know what color or tool she’ll use at the start and uses emotion and intuition to complete an artwork.
