View pattern details. Phase Change Towels Designed by Jennifer Leigh, woven by Christine Jablonski This project explores what happens Shadow Weave loses its traditional dark warp and weft float interlacement, which produces the distinctive diagonal lines in an overall design. When dark and light floats interlock, the heavy shadow lines disappear and the pattern shifts “out of phase,” changing the prominent design feature from outline to optical blending. These shifts happen at transition points in the threading and treadling, without having to reverse the warp or weft dark/light sequencing. Order a kit.
